Obituary For Wayne Allan Simmons

June 28, 1966 – January 27, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Wayne Allan Simmons of Wembley, Alberta.

Family is what Wayne loved most in life. He worked incredibly hard to always take care of those he loved. He enjoyed playing his guitars, fishing, fossil and stone hunting, shooting guns, drinking a Canadian, and most of all riding free on his Harley.

Wayne is survived by his wife Gizele; children Kylie Carroll, Alisha Carroll, Gregory (Kaitlyn) Carroll, Tyrane (Kimmy) Carroll, Seth Simmons; nine grandchildren Mercedes, Rylan, Paislee, Alayna, Teetus, Olivia, Kathleen, Beau, River; parents Kathleen and Arnold Simmons; siblings Larry (Tracy), Arnold Jr. (Catherine), Carrie-Ann Among, as well as nieces and nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

Wayne is predeceased by his brother Thomas Simmons, and grandparents Mary and John Jacobson;.

Wayne’s Funeral will be held on Friday February 9, 2024 at 2 pm. At the Saskatoon Lake Community Hall 83007 township road 722, Wembley AB.

Celebration of Life and Bike Run will be held on June 15, 2024. Leaving Tractor Jack’s at 1 pm ending at Crystal Creek Hall. 44044 HWY 670.

    I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but the countless stories I've heard from his son and the friend group we share made me feel like I knew him. I am so sorry for your guys' loss. He sounded like a great man and an even better father. Wayne, you raised a great man. We'll watch over him for you. ❤️

    A good man taken too soon. I've known Wayne through work and the occasional personal gathering. He always had an upbeat personality and really loved a good laugh. My deepest heartfelt condolences go out to Wayne's family, friends and coworkers. May your fond memories of Wayne provide some comfort in this time of sorrow.

    I met Wayne when he first started seeing Giz! The way he adored her and stand by her threw thick and thin was amazing!!! Giz my dear girl my heart goes out to you and your family!!!

    I will miss Wayne, his calm demeanour, his pleasant but brief words of welcome whenever I was at his home or saw him at my sister's. I didn't know him super well but I knew him and I liked him. My sincere condolences to Giz and all Wayne's family and friends.
