It is with great sadness the family of Robert Schulz announce his passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Robert was born in McBride B.C. to William and Eva Schulz, the first of five children. His early childhood was spent living in Valemont, BC until the family moved to Fourth Creek when he was 8. He remained there until he met Audrey in 1978 and relocated to Spirit River where he began an electrical apprenticeship with Hamilton Electric. Robert permanently settled in Grande Prairie in 1990 and continued his electrical career until 2024 when he retired.

Robert's family was the most important thing to him, and he was overjoyed at the birth of each of his children and grandchildren.

Rob enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and any type of mountain or lake holidays with his family. He was especially fond of the time the family spent on the Shuswap over the years.

Robert is survived by Audrey, wife of 46 years; children Nicole (Kevin), Alicia, Jared (Charlotte) and Justin; grandchildren Amber (Nathan), Jackson and Lenore, mother Eva; siblings Louise (Klause), Walter (Celine) and Ingrid as well as numerous nephews, nieces, aunt, uncles and cousins.

Robert was predeceased by his father William and sister Barbara.

A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2 pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home, 11802 99 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB., T8W 0C7. There will be an open mic portion of the service for anyone who would like to share fond memories they have of Rob.
