Obituary For Peter Troy Noseworthy

The world is a little less bright today with the passing of Peter Troy Noseworthy who passed away at the age of 55 on June 14, 2026 at his campsite south of Grande Prairie.

Peter was born on November 29, 1970 in St Anthony, NL, raised in lower cove. The only child of Myrtle Noseworthy and Vernon Noseworthy. At the age of 17, he met and fell in love with the woman he would spend his life with. In 1995, he moved to Alberta for work, spending the next 30 plus years working in the oil and gas industry. He eventually landed in Grande Prairie where he settled with his beautiful wife and raised two amazing children.

Peter was the definition of family. He was a devoted husband who loved his wife, Tracy, deeply and without reservation. His world revolved around his love for her, and their time together, whether playing crib, traveling, or simply enjoying life. His commitment to those closest to him was unwavering, and he was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, sharing time, stories, and laughter.

His greatest motivation in life was his children, Jackson and Kassondra, whom he would have done anything for and meant everything to him. They were his absolute pride and joy.

Peter was highly respected within the oil and gas industry, where he was well recognized for his leadership, execution, and willingness to mentor others. Colleagues were grateful for his guidance, and he earned lasting respect through his integrity, work ethic, and dedication to helping others succeed.

He truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. His fondest pastimes included playing golf, spending time at his river lot at the campground. He took immense pleasure in cooking huge feasts for his entire circle of family and friends. These moments brought him happiness, and his kindness and generosity will be forever remembered by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Peter will be forever loved and dearly missed by his wife, Tracy; his children, Jackson and Kassondra (Ceygean); his parents, Myrtle Noseworthy and Vernon Noseworthy; his in-laws, Minnie Applin and Merrill Myles and the late George Applin Jr; his brothers Jason (Heather) Applin and Travis (Chantel) Applin; his nieces and nephews, Quentin, Nicole, Kennedy, Amber, Georgia, Daniel and Frankie; and his special cousin, Bruno (Stephanie); along with countless family members and friends.

Viewing and service for family and close friends will be held at Bear Creek Funeral Home on Monday, June 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd at 10:00 a.m. in the morning at Bear Creek Funeral Home with the interment to follow. Mourners are invited to join the family for refreshments afterwards at Peter’s home. A livestream link is provided here for those unable to attend in person.

On Thursday, June 25th, at 2p.m. anyone who knew Peter is invited to a Celebration of Life to honor his memory at his favorite place, Riverstone Golf Course and Campground, at the 9th hole. Please join the family in remembering Peter’s strength, loyalty, generosity and the genuine care he demonstrated for everyone who knew him.
