Obituary For Nicholas 'Nick' Daniel Gilles Lavoie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas ‘Nick’ Lavoie at the age of 20.

Nicholas is survived by his parents Annie (nee Chiasson) and Pierre Lavoie, his maternal grandfather, Pepère Ronald Chiasson (Diane Gionet-Chiasson), his girlfriend; the love of his life, Alectra Czubey, Uncle Alain and Aunt Linda Chiasson, Aunt Nicole Lavoie, cousins Guillaume (Danaé and their daughter Noélie) Chiasson, Érika Chiasson (Jamie Cormier and their sons Jaxxton and Malix), Dominick Roussel (Jaesung Lee). Nick also leaves behind his ‘boys’ Ryn and Dan as well as countless friends. Nicholas had a special place in his heart for Ma Tante Diane Lévesque, Ma Tante Tina Lévesque, Mon Oncle Dave and Aunt Leslie Lévesque and their girls Brandy, Jay-Dean and Paige, Isabelle and Mike Johnston, Destiny Johnston (Andrew Poirier) and Teanna Johnston (Mark Stensrud).

Nicholas was pre deceased by his maternal grandmother, Memère Aline (nee Roussel) Chiasson, his paternal grandparents Gilles Lavoie and Simone Verret, Uncle Daniel Lavoie (deceased as a baby) and Mon Oncle Donald Lévesque.

Family and friends are invited for visitation and viewing at Bear Creek Funeral home, 11802 99 Avenue Grande Prairie, Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm and Monday, September 14, 2026 from 1:30 pm until departure for Nick’s ‘One Last Ride’ to St Joseph Catholic Church, 10404 102 Street Grande Prairie. Funeral will commence at 4 pm.
