Obituary For Lynn "Garry" Angen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn Garry Angen on July 1, 2026, at the age of 83, after a brief battle with cancer.

Garry was born in Sexsmith, Alberta, on April 12, 1943, and was raised in the La Glace area. Throughout his life, he was known as a hardworking man, spending many years farming and working as a truck driver. His strong work ethic and quiet determination were qualities admired by all who knew him.

When he wasn’t working, Garry enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved spending time camping and fishing, making countless memories with family and friends in the outdoors he cherished.

Garry will be lovingly remembered by his children, Lance (Sharilyn) and Coyne (Michelle); his stepchildren, Tracy, Darren, and Karen (Curt); his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Gail (Ross) Risvold; his partner, Sharon Kinney; and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Olaf and Cecile Angen; his sister, Rosemarie Angen; his wife, Lynn; and his special friend, Gwen.

In keeping with Garrys’ wishes, there will be no funeral service. He will be laid to rest at the La Glace Cemetery alongside his family.

In honour of Garry, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
