March 1,1966 - July 6, 2026

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jeaninne Sellick on July 6, 2026, at Prairie Lake Hospice in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Jeaninne was born in Red Deer, AB and grew up, mostly in Caroline, AB, which she always considered home. She was married to Donald Sellick April 22, 1989 in Westlock, AB. Moving to a few other places before settling down in Grande Prairie, AB where they have lived since 1996.

Jeannine was all about loving her family, especially the grandbabies, and furbabies. Making sure they were always taken care of. Always enjoying her love for her favorite thing, coffee. Jeannine also loved reading, being outside, Facebook games, and going shopping. Jeannine definitely passed on the love of shopping to her granddaughters as there was always a trip to the dollar store.

Jeannine's passing was sudden and unexpected, 14 days of knowing she was not going to make it, only 5 being in Hospice. Although we only had a short time knowing the outcome, we cherished each and every one of the last days of Jeannine's life filled with chaos and love. Jeanine is now pain free, at peace and with the angels now, watching over us all.

Jeannine is Survived by her husband Donald Sellick, Sister Jerri Jay Hopkins, Brother Frank Hopkins, Father Chris Mohn, Aunt Karen Scoville, Daughters Melissa Hopkins, Meghan Brewer, Lindsey Sellick, Jessie Lee Sellick, Millissa Gendron, Grandchildren Charolette, Raine, Hazel, Harrison, Flynn, and AJ.

Jeannine was predeceased by Mother Victorina Mohn, Father Edward Hopkins, and Daughter Victorina Sellick

The family would like to offer great appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses who helped Jeannine and the wonderful staff at Prairie Lake Hospice.

Jeannine wanted to have a Celebration of life for those who knew, loved and enjoyed her company. As many of her family lived far away and to accommodate her wishes we will be having 2 small celebrations of life. One in August in the Grande Prairie area and a smaller second one in/near Caroline, AB (Possibly September 12)

A Celebration of Life and Potluck will be held August 9, 2026 at 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Elk’s Hall, 10806 106 Street, Grande Prairie, AB.
