Obituary For Gail Steinke

April 17, 1942 - July 13, 2026

Gail Steinke passed peacefully into her Heavenly Father’s hands on July 13, 2026, surrounded by love and family, with a promise to take good care of Dad.

To tell the life of Gail, it is to speak of two- Gail and Terry, her husband of 65 years. Gail and Terry were together in all things. Where one went, the other was sure to be not far behind. Gail was a woman of many talents. She loved to paint, strawberry pick, and watch Dad play horseshoes to name just a few. She always had a jar of cream in the fridge because cream goes on everything! She was famous for her cinnamon buns and her great grandma’s potato salad dressing recipe. Gail and Terry spent many years in their second home in Yuma, AZ, where they made dear and lifelong friends. When not enjoying her and Terry’s many adventures together, she was with family, helping and being a part of gatherings in any way she could, be that her skills or just because she was able. She was the one you could count on for “The List” for who was bringing what food.

Gail will be greatly missed by her loving husband Terry, children Brenda, Brad, Kelly and Sandy, as well as Tracy and Deanne, Aron and Glenny, her very loved grandchildren Chelsie and Danny, Lance and Teale, Jordan and Sydney, Tristan and Alana, Kelton, Dylan, and Nico, and the great grandchildren DJ, Payton, Hadley, Connor and Harvey. She will also be missed by her watchful and attentive brother Colin Griffith and his family, Nicole and Greg, Robyn and Brad, Layne and Mark, Blake and Megan and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her supportive and ever caring sister-in-law Barb Griffith and her children Shannon and Dean, Devyn and Steph and their children.

Gail was predeceased by her parents Mona and Maurice Griffith, brother Rob Griffith, and sister-in-law Valerie Griffith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Faith Lutheran Church. There will be a luncheon to follow, with interment with family at a later time.
