Obituary For Duane Stark

April 2, 1939 – November 13, 2024

Duane Reginald Stark of Grande Prairie passed away on November 13, 2024. Our hearts ache as we say goodbye to our brother and uncle who filled our lives with endless love and laughter. Though we will miss him deeply, we take comfort in knowing he embarked on his final journey with dignity and grace. Rest well, you had a life well lived and were so very loved.

A Tribute to Duane will be held at the Bezanson Legion on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. In keeping with his spirit, please join us in casual attire, just as he would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Duane’s memory by contributing to the Maskwa Medical Centre fund at Northwestern Alberta Foundation.

Ray Fenton

My memories of cousin Duane go back a long ways, when we were kids, riding down to the Smokey River, teasing Roy and Warren, swimming in the dugout, the Bezanson Stampede, and on. We were both born in 1939. Bruce and I visited with Duane this past summer and I am so thankful that we had that time together. Duane was one of the Jensen Cousins. Rest in peace, Cousin.

Paulette Hrychiw

A former neighbour. I lived next door to Jim & Iona Stark in the 1960, 70's. Duane lived with them at the time. He used to have a band that played for dances and Duane was their singer. My husband and I often danced at the Elks to his band's music. I'm so sorry to hear of his loss to your family. Paulette Hrychiw
